We facilitate woodland workshops several times a year. The next day workshop is coming up on Sun 28 April 2013 in woodlands close to Bristol (for more info click HOME).
In the summer we are teaming up with outdoor play expert Lily Horseman for a very special (re-)treat:
Going Feral in the Lake District – A natural play intensive for grown ups
A weeklong workshop to immerse yourself in nature, disconnect from the demands of civilisation, let your instincts run feral and celebrate your creativity. Choose to playfully respond to the environment with making, creating, song, words, grooves, movement, mapping or questing. Enjoy open fire cooking, wild adventure and group experience as well as time to just ‘be’.
Seriously recommended to everyone wanting to deeply engage with their playful and creative side. Previous participants include people working in the arts, social engagement, therapies, education, outdoor learning, ecological practices and anyone who enjoys a wild stomp and howl in the woods under the light of the full moon.
Venue: Rookhow Centre, private woodland and the surrounding Lake District National Park. http://www.rookhowcentre.co.uk
Cost: £475 / £355 concs. incl. camping/communal dormitories and delicious food.
To wet your appetite here some photos and comments about previous workshops:
“Perfect day – getting in touch with child-like emotions, being wild, uninhibited, loud, different, allowed to BE.“
Inspired by the season of Spring, we dedicated the April 2012 workshop to Emergence & Transformation and explored making new skins for ourselves.
“Thank yo so much, Itta and Mel. I really enjoyed my day, the combination of silence and sound, movement and stillness all so well held by the two of you … the memory of the day will stay with me for a long time, especially ten of us lying down laughing in a shelter made for five!”
